Rick Elliott
Executive VP and Global Partner, Lockton
Rick is a proven insurance, employee benefits, and healthcare executive with a 40+ year track record for delivering exceptional people and financial results for complex businesses. He has a legacy of integrity, innovation, client focus, creativity, and servant leadership.
At Lockton, Rick has served as the lead consultant to a wide range of clients across many industries. Rick is Executive VP and a global partner. He has served on the firm’s regional and national Employee Benefits Executive Committees. In his 11 + years at Lockton, he has been recognized as a top global revenue growth producer three times.
Rick is leading the conversation that the traditional model for funding healthcare does not work.
His value proposition is centered around two main themes:
Helping organizations step out of the endless cycle of rising healthcare costs, by implementing new models built on transparency, innovation, technology, and putting the patient/consumer at the center.
Eliminating the fear of “employee disruption and change” – recognizing that the real disruption is asking employees to absorb higher costs, higher deductibles, and stay bogged down in unnecessary bureaucratic/outdated processes.
Rick’s career highlights include CEO of a major insurance company health plan, CEO of the National Employee Benefit Practice at Willis, and National Practice Leader for Employee Benefits at Marsh.
Rick has twice been the Keynote Speaker at the National Health & Welfare Plan Management Conference and was the featured speaker on global health care at the IBIS Conference in Paris, France. He has been quoted in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The Atlanta Business Chronicle, The National Underwriter, Business Insurance and USA Today.
Rick has a BS degree from the Robin’s School of Business, at the University of Richmond, where attended on a full basketball scholarship.
He is committed to giving back to the community and has served on many non-profit boards and is the past Chairman of the Board for Georgia Make a Wish.
