Employer-Sponsored Group Fully Insured Plans
“Employer-Sponsored Group Fully Insured Plans,” or any reference to a fully insured “employer sponsored plan” refers to the large group major medical insurance product marketed and administered by Sidecar Health Insurance Solutions, LLC and underwritten by Sidecar Health Insurance Company, Inc., One Columbus, Suite 495, 10 West Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215 (NAIC #17104).
This product provides large group market comprehensive/major medical coverage, minimal essential coverage and essential health benefits to employers (with 51 or more employees) based in Florida, Georgia, or Ohio.
At this time, fully insured employer sponsored health plans are only available in the states of Florida, Georgia and Ohio.
Access Plan
“Access Plan” and “Access Plans,” collectively, refer to the excepted benefit fixed indemnity insurance product previously marketed and currently administered by Sidecar Health Insurance Solutions, LLC. These plans are underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company (NAIC #21113) or SiriusPoint America Insurance Company (NAIC #38776), depending on the state.
The Access Plan is an excepted benefit plan and does not provide comprehensive/major medical expenses coverage, minimum essential coverage, or essential health benefits. You cannot receive a subsidy (premium tax credit and/or cost-sharing reduction) under the ACA in connection with your purchase of such an excepted benefit fixed indemnity insurance plan. Also, the termination or loss of this policy does not entitle you to a special enrollment period to purchase a health benefit plan that qualifies as minimum essential coverage outside of an open enrollment period.
Access Plans are no longer being offered by Sidecar Health.
ASO and TPA Services for Employer-Sponsored Plans
Sidecar Health Insurance Solutions, LLC offers Administrative Services Only (“ASO”) and Third Party Administrator (“TPA”) services for self-funded group health plans.

45% lower member out-of-pocket costs: Based on comparison of Sidecar Health First Dollar coverage plan with $3k deductible and no coinsurance or copays to typical network major medical plan with $3k deductible, 20% coinsurance, and copays ranging from $15-$300/covered service.
90% of claims result in cash back or less than a copay: Co-pays not utilized by Sidecar Health. This describes member cost above the Benefit Amount similar to traditional plan co-pay levels. Claims processed from 4/1/24-4/22/25. Deductible excluded.
$1094 average cash back for a family of 4: Savings based on plan year 2024.
Less than 1% denial rate: More than 99% of claims with dates of service from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24 were approved, with less than 1% denied for clinical reasons. This rate excludes denials for non-clinical reasons such as eligibility or coding errors.
