How do I use Sidecar Health at a pharmacy?

1. Use the ‘Estimate care’ tab in the Sidecar Health app to see the price of your prescription at pharmacies near you and the estimated Benefit Amount(s) your plan will pay.  You will be responsible for paying the difference between the Benefit Amount and what the pharmacy charges (as a reminder, if the charge is less than the Benefit Amount, you keep the difference).  Keep in mind that you must request our pre-approval of a pre-bill to use your Sidecar Health VISA benefit card to pay for prescriptions costing more than your card transaction limit (which you can look up in your policy)
2. Pay for your prescription drug using your own payment method or your Sidecar Health VISA benefit card. Make sure to show the discount codes you see in the Sidecar Health app to the pharmacist to get the lowest price for your medication.
3. After purchasing your prescription, submit your final, itemized bill in the app or on the website so we can adjudicate your claim and determine your actual Benefit Amount.
